Understanding it
What exactly is "quote turnaround"?
The full road from a customer's estimate request to a number in their hands — acknowledgment lag, site-visit lag, pricing lag, delivery — plus what happens after the quote goes quiet. The free assessment scores yours in three minutes.
Does speed really matter that much? Good work sells itself.
Good work wins the jobs you actually bid in time. In a live business we measure, inquiries that waited died at three times the rate of ones handled fast — and the waiting ones weren't worse customers, because once engaged they closed at 67%. The homeowner with three requests out is deciding while your quote is still in the pile.
My customers say they'll "wait for my number." Do they?
Some genuinely do — repeat clients and referrals wait longest. The bids you're losing are the ones you never hear about: the new customer comparing three names who signed with the second number because yours was still five days out. That silence is exactly why the cost stays invisible.
Is this estimating software?
No. We measure your turnaround, find where the lag actually lives, and then fix that specific bottleneck — which sometimes involves software and often doesn't. Selling the fix before the measurement is the industry habit we exist to break.
Is my shop a fit?
What trades is this for?
Anyone who wins work by quoting it: remodelers, GCs, dock and marine builders, roofers, concrete and excavation, mechanical installs. If the sentence "quotes take me all weekend" lands, it fits.
I'm a one-person shop. Worth it?
You're who the door is named for — the kitchen-table bottleneck IS the one-person shop. The score is free; find out how big your lag is before deciding it's just how the trade works.
My jobs are big and complex — quotes legitimately take time to build.
Right — and the measurement separates the legitimate time (engineering a $60k bid) from the illegitimate time (four days before anyone acknowledged the request, a week in the visit queue). Complex-job shops usually have the MOST recoverable lag, because the honest work hides the waste around it.
Do you need access to my systems?
No. The measurement works from the outside — timed estimate requests through your public channels, like a real customer. That's what keeps it honest.
How it works
What's in the free assessment?
Ten questions: your trade, request volume, channels, what happens after hours, request-to-quote time, follow-up count, job value. You get a 0–100 score, four axis scores worst-first, and a written report with a monthly cost estimate from your own numbers. Three minutes, phone-friendly.
Who writes the report?
The written analysis is produced by Claude, an AI model, from your answers and computed scores only — every claim traces to something you said. The scoring is published, deterministic math. We name the AI because it's true.
What does the $500 first fix actually involve?
One week, three parts. Days one and two: your quote flow baselined — timed test requests against your real intake, per your written permission, timestamped at the source. Days three and four: ONE fix from the menu built and running — the quote-ack with structured intake, the Monday queue, the sent-quote ladder, or the channel net, whichever your worst axis picked. Day five: the before/after in writing, with a 30-day re-check included.
Will test requests waste my time quoting fake jobs?
No. Probes measure acknowledgment and process speed — they're withdrawn before anyone builds a real estimate or rolls a truck, and every probe is identified to you after the window closes.
Money
Why pay $500 for an audit?
Because free audits are sales pitches wearing a costume. The $500 buys five days of real measurement with no pitch obligation — if your turnaround measures fast, "confirmed fast, here's proof" is the deliverable and the engagement can end there.
What do full builds cost?
From $2,500, quoted in writing from your first fix's before/after, scoped to where your lag actually lives. The floor is published because hidden prices waste everyone's time.
What does doing nothing cost?
That's the number your free report estimates — requests × miss rate × close rate × job value, from your own answers. At trade job sizes it's usually five figures monthly. The math is here, fully in the open.
Is the $500 credited toward a build?
It doesn't need to be — the $500 bought a working fix and its proof, not a deposit. When a full build follows, the first fix's baseline and its installed piece carry straight into it, and the post-build remeasurement is included.
After, and objections
What happens after I get my score?
You have the report and the estimate. Fast score — keep it, you're done. Slow score — the report's next step is the $500 first fix, booked and prepaid online in one step. No sales sequence, no "just checking in."
What if the baseline says I'm already fast?
Then you choose: we install the menu fix you pick anyway — an instant ack on a fast shop is still an edge — or you take the finding in writing, useful the next time someone tries to sell your shop estimate software for a problem you don't have.
How do I know you won't inflate findings to sell a build?
The first fix leaves something installed either way, so "no significant lag" is a finding we can afford to hand you. Every finding carries timestamps you can check. Estimates and measurements are labeled separately in writing — padding would show.
Never heard of you. Why trust you?
Don't — verify. The score is free and shows its work. The $500 first fix is measured against timestamps you can inspect — baseline and after. And the quoting fix isn't theory for us: a dock builder we work with runs a voice-to-bid system we built — records a walkthrough on his phone, reviews a priced estimate instead of building one. Who we are: about page.
I'm in season and buried. Why now?
Buried is when quote lag costs the most — peak demand means the most requests aging in the pile while you're on roofs. The assessment is three minutes from the truck, and the baseline asks nothing of you except business as usual — and the fix ends the week acknowledging requests while you're on the roof.
